  • Wait a minute, aren’t you guys getting married in Ireland or Scotland or something?

Technically, no.  Getting married overseas is super complicated (And you know how Erin is with paperwork and deadlines!) and not easy to transfer legally to the states.  The ceremony in Texas is the official wedding.

  • I don't know sign language....how can I communicate with Shayne and other Deaf guests.

We will have an interpreter for the ceremony, speeches, etc.  If you want to gain some additional conversational skils, check out the Sign Language tab on this website.  You can also look on Youtube or other online resources for some basics.

  • Where is the venue?

Casa de Rio Colores (http://www.casariodecolores.com/)

Casa Rio De Colores is comprised of three cabins (old houses relocated from South Austin) that are owned by Jenna Radke, owner of Austin's most famous costume shop, Lucy in Disguise on South Congress. The grounds and cabins are eccentrically decorated with artifacts and kitsch and they are guaranteed to amaze. There is limited space in the cabins for immediate family members and the wedding party, but there is plenty of camping room for anyone who would like to stay the night, along with outdoor showers, restrooms, BBQ grills, fire pits, and plenty of spaces to rest and relax, as well as the river for floating, swimming, and canoeing.

  • Anything I should bring?

Read the description above.  Feel free to bring your bathing suit, sunscreen, and a towel to hop in the river.  Bring a tent and stay the night!

  • What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will be at 4:30 PM (the venue might be a tad difficult to find, so head out a little early…use your GPS and give some extra time to park).

  • Where should I park?

Follow the signs when you arrive (some areas are going to be reserved for camping) for parking on site.

  • What should I wear?

Well, the wedding IS in August in Texas, so dress accordingly.  The venue is on uneven ground; so high heels are NOT encouraged.  The event is casual and fun, just like us.  Feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable.

  • Are kids welcome?

Kids are welcome, but only if you plan on staying sober, can commit to supervising them (the venue is on a river and it isn’t the safest), and plan on leaving before things start getting wild.  Please include kids in your RSVP count.

  • Can I bring a date?

If your invitation specified +1, then by all means feel free.  However, due to budgetary constraints not everyone was given a +1.  If you want to make a special request, contact us via the webpage.

  • Does your wedding have a theme?

Does octo-mustachioed-yeti circus count as a theme?

  • I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Check out the Accommodations page on this website.

  • When is the RSVP deadline?

August 1, 2013.

  • Will food be served?

We will be having a fajita buffet with chicken, beef, and a vegetarian option.

  • What if I have a dietary restriction?

Contact us directly via the website and explain.

  • Will there be dancing?

That, my dears, is entirely up to you!

  • Will there be any activities happening that I need to know about?

There will be a Hangover Brunch the Sunday after the wedding (perfect for those staying/camping onsite) whenever people start rolling out of bed.  (Please include if you will attend in your RSVP as well…keep in mind that if you do not stay the night it will be another trek to Liberty Hill for brunch).

* I have a question not answered here; how do I contact you?
